Financial Support fraud happens when the victim receives an unexpected call from a financial institution, offering to reduce interest payments or give payment holidays on credit cards, loans and/or mortgages.
At times they may even offer to apply for government support or other types of funding on your behalf. To 'Check eligibility', the caller may ask for a card number or bank account details, either by giving this information over the phone or by entering it using the phone's keypad.

Please remember, these calls may likely be fraudulent. Always watch out for unexpected phone calls or offers that seem too good to be true and never share your account details with anyone.
