Fraudsters are using increasingly sophisticated methods to steal your money, especially when it comes to using an ATM/Cash machine.

It's important to know how these scams work and what you can do to protect yourself. The next time you use an ATM, please be sure to look out for the following:
- a fake or layered keypad that could be used to record PIN information in real time
- watch out for hidden cameras as they record your card and/or PIN details
- check the card reader is securely fastened; if it's loose, it may very well be fake
- be mindful if anyone is near you while using the ATM. Fraudsters may watch you enter the PIN number, then steal the card using distraction techniques.

Always cover you PIN and keep an eye on your card at all times and if possible, use an ATM inside a bank
